Dear Hillside families
Happy New Year! We wish you and yours a happy and healthy 2023!
To start the year, we thank our wonderful Hillside community for supporting our Christmas Appeal - Rebooked. It has been a Hillside tradition to foster the spirit of giving every Christmas. Not only does this tradition create a connection with our learning community, but it also transfers our learning into an "action." We saved many pre-loved books from going to waste, and more young readers will surely enjoy them. THANK YOU!
Warm wishes
Audrey
It was a disappointment we couldn't go to Repulse Bay last term, but we are planning to reschedule for another community event on Friday, 3 March. We hope the weather will be much kinder to us by that time. Please save this date, and we will confirm the details closer to the date.
With two we until the Lunar New Year, we have launched straight into the celebrations after returning this week. As part of our celebrations, we have booked the Kennedy School lion dance team (Y5 &6s) to perform for our children on Wednesday, 18 January.
We invite everyone to come in festive clothing for both Wednesday, 18 January and Friday, 20 January.
All ESF Kindergartens will be closed on Monday, 30 January 2023, to conduct their K1 play visits and admissions process. Please note that this will be a non-school day for current kindergarten children. This is the first year we could invite all applicants for an in-person play visit since the pandemic, and having this day will limit ongoing disruptions to regular school sessions. We thank you for your understanding and support on this matter.
Thank you to all parents who have generously given their time to completing Hillside's IB Evaluation survey. Your feedback will help us to reflect on where the school excels, has shown growth, and what may require additional attention. If you haven't yet had the chance, we would greatly appreciate your input by completing this survey LINK here (it will take less than 3 minutes). Thank you for supporting our shared vision for cultivating a joyful and inclusive learning community where every learner can flourish.
