Dear Hillside Families
Welcome back, and Happy New Year! We wish you and yours a wonderful and healthy 2024! It is lovely to welcome back everyone, and we are ready to start another term of exciting and engaging learning here at Hillside.
To start the year, we thank our amazing Hillside community for supporting our Bake Sale at the beach picnic. We've collected approximately $6,356 of donations. This donation will help enhance our upcoming incursion/ excursion learning experiences (e.g. paying for the sports day venue coming up in February - save-the-date below!)
Also, thank you for supporting our Christmas Appeal - Rebooked. It has been a Hillside tradition to foster the spirit of giving every Christmas. Not only does this tradition create a connection with our learning community, but it also transfers our learning into an "action." We saved many pre-loved books from going to waste, and more young readers will surely enjoy them. THANK YOU!
On another positive note, our official IB evaluation report is here! We've received an excellent IB Evaluation report from the visiting team. It just reaffirms our shared purpose and efforts. Thanks again to our amazing community and, of course, our PYP Coordinator, Brenda, for leading us through this process!
Warm regards
Audrey
As part of the K1 Unit of Inquiry Sharing the Planet, we’ve invited LAP & one of their small dogs to visit Hillside and share their knowledge around how to be responsible and take care of pet animals, as well as how we can safely approach dogs when we see them out and about! We look forward to an exciting and rewarding experience with LAP at Hillside!

23 January - AM classes
