An adult must attend.
We kindly request that one parent or caregiver accompany each child.
Adults must wear socks in all indoor areas.
How are the children getting there?
Please make your own way to Pamela Peck. Do not come to school first.
Please note there is no parking available.

What does my child need to bring?
Children must wear school uniform, no school bag required.
Please bring a water bottle, there is a water dispenser inside for refills.
If you wish to bring a snack, please bring something small and manageable such as crackers or a banana. Snack can be consumed (picnic-style on the floor) in the outdoor patio area, or indoors in the library if it is raining.
Please bring an extra set of clothes in case your child needs changing.
How can I as a parent support my child during the excursion?
Play actively with your child and let them lead you in their play! We strongly encourage all adults to be fully present and use phones only for taking photos of your child. (No photo taking of other children for safeguarding purposes please)
Please supervise your child at all times.
Is there a map of the Pamela Peck play spaces?
We are so excited about this upcoming excursion and we are certain it will be a positive learning experience for everyone. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.

Dear Hillside Community,
We are pleased to share that we have launched our brand-new school website! The redesigned site offers a fresh, modern look and provides an easy way for everyone to learn more about our wonderful school and the vibrant learning community we foster.
As part of the ESF family, we proudly announce that all 22 ESF schools now use a unified website design. This emphasises the strength and uniqueness of the ESF network, connecting us all while showcasing the individual character of each school.
Navigating the new site is simple and intuitive. For our current parents and students, we've created dedicated pages for easy access to internal school information. Just click the "Students & Parents" button in the top right corner of the homepage for quick access to the resources you need. You can also access our school newsletter archives via the website, please use the password "Hillside2025" You might wish to bookmark this webpage for our weekly news updates.
We encourage you to explore the new website at https://www.hillside.esf.edu.hk/en/ and take some time to familiarise yourself with the layout. You can also connect with us on our social media platforms, including Facebook and Instagram.
Your feedback is important to us, and we'd love to hear your thoughts on the new website. Please feel free to share your comments and suggestions using this form.
Additionally, we are introducing our new chatbot Hillside Wiz Chatbot (Beta) for parents. This handy tool will assist them in finding information based on our parent handbook, making it easier for everyone to stay informed. Feedback welcome, so we can continue to train and feed the bot with new information.
We look forward to you experiencing our new platforms!
Best regards,

Dear K2 Parents,
The children will be starting their new unit of inquiry “Sharing the Planet” after the Lunar New Year, with the big idea centered around being responsible for their local environment. To tune into the environment and continue building on their research skills, we have planned a nature walk down Bowen Road! With their teacher, EAs and extra school staff, children will be observing their surroundings closely and gathering some data about what elements they see as part of the environment. Here are more details about the trip:
When?
10 Feb Mon - Tiger class
11 Feb Tues - Gecko class
12 Feb Wed - Dragon class
13 Feb Thurs - Turtle class
How are the children getting there?
Children can arrive and depart from school as normal, either on the school bus or as a walker. Accompanied by their class adults and extra school staff, children will walk down to where the Bowen Road trail starts to begin the nature walk. If it rains, the nature walk will unfortunately have to be cancelled.
What does my child need to bring?
Children must wear school uniform. Since we will be outdoors, we strongly suggest your child to have applied sunscreen and insect repellent at home before coming to school. A hat may also be useful.
Can I come?
We kindly request the support of a few parent volunteers per class, please email your class teacher if you’re available, this will be on a first come first served basis.
How do I give permission for my child to attend?
This can be processed through Gateway. You can “Go to Gateway” via the ESF App. From there, you will see a “new eNotice to fill in now”, which is your consent form.
