Dear Parents
Gathering your feedback regularly and understanding your perceptions is an essential part of us working together to support our students' learning and wellbeing. We have conducted a survey in September and a pulse survey in November (results here and here). We would appreciate it if you would complete this new survey below based on your past few months' experiences.
We are committed to making the most of the distance learning and are keen to ensure, with your support, that this remains a success. This survey should only take a few moments to complete, and we will share the results with ESF for Foundation-wide analysis. We appreciate you for taking the time to provide this important feedback. You may have received a survey from ESF HR asking for your input on which adjustments to the school holidays might make next year better for your family plans. The intention is to design a school calendar that takes stakeholder views into consideration, however, we acknowledge that accommodating all preferences will be difficult. All feedback will be considered when planning the ESF calendar for August 2021 to June 2022. We thank you in advance for your feedback. You can access the Calendar Consultation Survey here
Kind regards
Audrey Tang
Head of School
We are currently preparing the next resource pack and our bus company has kindly offered to deliver the packs for us. We have been mindful of the weight of the resource pack, but with the bus company's help, we will have more flexibility with the content of our packs.
We are now finalising logistics with the bus company, but the initial plan is for the buses to deliver the packs according to the going home schedule. We have requested for the bus company to send a reminder of the "collection time" to all families the day before the delivery. They will make two runs for each pack in case families cannot come down to collect the pack on the first drop-off.
We will still post out packs for non-bus children/ walkers. We will share final details with parents by next week with the view to deliver the pack around the end of the month.
To celebrate the Chinese New Year, we would like to invite the Hillside community to share your artwork for the ESF Year of the Ox Virtual Card Gallery. It is a fantastic opportunity for the children to show their artistic talent and appreciation for local culture. A selection of artworks from Hillside will be showcased in the very first ESF Year of the Ox Virtual Card Gallery which will be open for public viewing from 5-22 February 2021.
Format: The submission will be an original artwork with a Chinese New Year blessing message in Chinese or English. Children may use watercolour paint, coloured pencil or crayon as the medium.
Submission: Please submit high-resolution images in jpg/peg format, at least 300dpi
Deadline: Monday 25 January 2021
Hillside Year of the Ox Virtual Card Gallery
A selection of entries for the virtual gallery will also be considered for our ESF Year of the Ox e-card. A shortlist will be posted on the ESF internal forum for all ESF staff to vote for their favourite. The result will be announced on Friday, 5 February along with an e-card version for everyone to download and send to colleagues, friends and family.
