Dear Parents

I cannot believe we're into June already! With less than a month to go, the children are getting more and more excited about moving on to the next stage of their learning. 

I trust the ESF Transition Day went well for our K2 families, and many children were still talking about it this week. The different playgrounds were definitely a highlight for many of the children. I hope the weather holds out and we can have nice weather for our K2 End of Year Celebration. Please don't forget to save the date based on the info in the section below. 

Regardless of K1 or K2, one of the things parents will need to prepare for the children's transition is uniforms. We plan to introduce a pop-up store, "ReUniform", for families to donate and purchase preloved uniforms as part of our sustainability efforts. Please see the section below for details.

We are taking steps to be more sustainable as a school. As such, we would like to provide a forum for interested parents to donate or purchase preloved uniform items at a nominal price. All proceeds will contribute to enhancing our new playground. 

This is not limited to only Hillside uniforms; any preloved ESF primary school uniforms are also welcome as we feed into all five ESF HK island primary schools. Any unsold uniforms will be used as a backup change of clothes at school or role-play in the "primary school" dress-up corner. 

If you are interested in donating, please send the preloved kindergarten or primary school uniform items to Hillside any time from now onwards. 

If you are interested in purchasing, please visit Hillside on 21 & 22 June. More details are on the attached flyer.

We are delighted to confirm that parents can join our K2 End of Year Celebration (Graduation) on-site again. We plan for this event to take place in our newly renovated outdoor amphitheatre, and since it's outdoors, we can invite two adults per child to join us. We hope the weather will be kind, but we have a 'rain plan' to move the event indoors. However, we might have to limit the number of guests indoors due to social distancing measures.

Please send your child to school as per usual, so they can have time to get ready in class.

Important note > All parents must complete a RAT test for themselves and their child ahead of arriving at the school, where they will be asked to confirm a negative result and sign in using the LHS app.

We are in the process of reviewing our various methods of keeping parents informed of their child's progress and development throughout the year.
