Dear Hillside Families 

I hope everyone keeps safe and healthy as we approach the cooler months. It has been good to hear that the government is relaxing COVID rules, and Hong Kong is starting to buzz again. 

With this positive news, we are delighted to have more parents back on campus as part of our programme. It was lovely to see new K1 parents being able to take part in our open-play time, and we look forward to having K2 parents participate soon.

Thank you to all the parent participants for supporting our programme and enhancing the children’s learning experience.

We are also planning our annual Hillside Winter Family Picnic on Thursday, 15 December. This is a community event intended for families to come together and spread some holiday cheer. More details will follow soon - watch this space!

Thank you to parents that joined us for the webinar last week to learn more about our Chinese curriculum. In continuing to build on our understanding of children’s play, this webinar will explore strategies and tools for developing your child’s social communication skills and how to support challenging emotions that may arise during play.

We are very excited to bring the K2 children on an excursion to K11 Musea for a specially curated art tour for students. This will support their Unit of Inquiry “How the World Works” with a focus on design and creation.

Details were shared in a separate App message. 

Please “Go to Gateway” via the ESF App to give consent for your child to attend.

Please note down the following excursion date for your child’s class:
Wednesday, 23 Nov - Dragon Class
Thursday, 24 Nov - Gecko Class
Monday, 28 Nov - Tiger Class
Tuesday, 29 Nov - Turtle Class

We will be taking a private bus to and from K11 Musea within school hours, and a number of additional staff will join the trip. As such, no additional parental support is required for this particular trip.
