29 June: Children's Class Party - Last School Day of Term
30 June: Summer Break Begins for the Children
21 August: First Offical Day Back for the Children
Dear Hillside Families
It's last day of term! We are grateful for your unwavering support and dedication to your learning journey. We couldn't have done it without you!
The children had a blast during our Water Fun Day and enjoyed today's class party. It was heartwarming to see their smiling faces and hear their laughter.
We are extremely proud of all the children's hard work and achievements this year. Watching them grow and learn has been such a joy, and we know they will continue to do amazing things in the future. Thank you again to our children for being absolute superstars!
As we head into the summer break, we want to remind you to take care of yourselves and your families. Stay healthy, stay safe.
Thank you once again for your partnership and trust in us. We wish you all a wonderful summer!
Warm wishes
Audrey
The first official onsite day will be Monday, 21 August. All K2 children will return to school on this day. The Hong Kong government has now gazetted the public holidays. Please refer to the 2023/24 calendar for school dates. You will soon receive your child's starting timetable.
Your child's end-of-year report is now available for viewing via the ESF app (both K1 & K2). It is important to note that learning is not locked in one point, one year or a particular age but is an ongoing continuum based on the child's readiness and progress rather than a date. All teachers between different year levels strongly believe in meeting the children where they are, both academically and social-emotionally, supporting the children in their next phase of learning. We also invite those parents interested in contributing to the report by adding your comment in the "parent response to learning" box.
You can also access your child's portfolio piece through the ESF app, which showcases your child's role in their learning. You may also access the e-portfolio from a desktop to download all your children's work. You can click on the little "document symbol" to download your child’s portfolio or reports. Please contact the office at kinder@hillside.edu.hk if you have any difficulties.
If your child leaving Hillside you may want to download their e-portfolio and reports by 31st July.
