Dear Hillside Families,

We're excited to announce that Hillside is now active on social media! I trust you received our official launch message yesterday regarding Hillside's new social media platforms. We encourage family members and carers to follow us on Facebook and Instagram to stay connected with the latest news, events, and snapshots of our learning. These channels will serve as another way to keep you informed, allowing us to send out reminders and updates. For instance, we'll post stories to remind everyone about special events like Dress-up Day or Sports Day.

We also encourage you to explore the new website at [Web Link]. For our current parents and students, we've created dedicated pages for easy access to internal school information. Just click the "Students & Parents" button in the top right corner of the homepage for quick access to the resources you need. To view our school newsletter archives via the website, please use the password "Hillside2025" You might want to bookmark this webpage for our weekly news updates.

Additionally, we are introducing our new chatbot, Hillside Wiz Chatbot (Beta), for parents. This handy tool will assist them in finding information based on our parent handbook, making it easier for everyone to stay informed. Feedback is welcome so we can continue to train and feed the bot with new information.

The K1 children will be visiting the Pamela Peck Discovery Space on an educational excursion.

We kindly request that one parent or caregiver accompany each child. 

The trip is designed to complement their next unit of inquiry, "How The World Works." You will receive a separate app message with further details that include a consent form to attend the excursion. 

We are excited to announce that Hillside has partnered with Optometrist Suzan Salnikoff to conduct essential vision screenings. Early identification of vision problems is vital for effective treatment and support.

We are calling out for any old or unwanted Lego or Duplo pieces you may have. Our Lego Drive aims to enhance our school collection, providing children more opportunities to build and create.

SF Explore warmly invites students from ESF Hillside Kindergarten to participate in our engaging Multi-Sports Weekday Cubs Trial, scheduled for 4:30 pm on 13 February (Thursday) at Bradbury School! Specifically designed for kindergarten students, these fun-filled sessions focus on enhancing fundamental movement skills while also introducing and developing crucial sports-specific abilities. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for your child to build a strong foundation for a lifetime of participation in any sport! Don't miss out on this exciting event - complete the Google Form by noon on 10 February (Monday) to enter the draw
