Dear Hillside Families,
Thank you for joining us for a fun and memorable Sports Day! We were incredibly fortunate with the weather, and the spirits were high across many classes, with plenty of happy faces and loud cheers at all the stations!
A special thank you goes out to our Class Parents for their support in making these events successful and for sending out reminders. Your efforts truly make a difference.
I’d also like to give a shout-out to one of our parents, Nicole Kwok, from the K1 Dolphin Class, for her help in organising the ESF Explore Sports coaches. They were a fantastic addition and very popular with the children. We are genuinely grateful for your support. Thank you also to our Bradbury PE teachers for coming down to show their support. It was truly a community effort.
Warm regards
Audrey
We understand some K1 parents had questions about Year 1 information during the recent Parent-Teacher Conferences. After the summer break, the ESF Admissions Team will share details on the 2026/27 Year 1 transition process. For now, you can refer to the 2025/26 FAQ document (please note some information may not be the most up-to-date). Most primary schools will offer open days in August/September, and some schools provide year-round tours. You can find more information here. We will share updated information for the new academic year with parents in due course.
If you have any further questions, please get in touch with the ESF Primary Admissions Team at primary.admissions@esfcentre.edu.hk
As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, we will soon send out our annual ESF Stakeholder Survey. Your feedback is invaluable to us, and we would be grateful if you could take a moment to share your thoughts. The survey will be emailed to you in the next week or so and should take around ten minutes to complete. Your responses will be anonymous unless you choose to identify yourself. Once the survey closes, we will collate and analyse the data and provide feedback on our findings.
We’re excited to announce that we will be joining forces with Bradbury School to celebrate Rare Disease Day on 28 February! As some of you may know, one of our K2 PE teachers, Mr Maclay’s daughter, Freya, is living with a rare condition called Tay Sachs, and we want to show our support by coming together as a community.
To join in the fun, we encourage all children to dress in “Bright and Striped” clothes! Our rare disease mascot is a zebra, and its slogan is “Share Your Colours!” Let’s fill the school with vibrant stripes to show our solidarity and raise awareness. This is a wonderful opportunity for our children to learn about empathy and understanding while having a lot of fun.
Thank you for your support, and please remember to send your child in ‘bright & striped’ attire!

We are excited to announce that Hillside has partnered with Optometrist Suzan Salnikoff to conduct essential vision screenings. Early identification of vision problems is vital for effective treatment and support.
